Visual & Performing Arts (VAPA)

Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) refers to the disciplines of visual arts, dance, drama/theatre, music and literary arts.

Presidio Middle School offers a wide range of electives in visual and performing arts including band, orchestra, drama, art, chorus and dance.  Click on the page links to the left to find out more information about each of these electives!

Ms.BottiniVAPA Dept Head & Orchestra (Beginning, Intermediate & Advanced)

Veronica (Kiramidjian) Bottini grew up in a house filled with music, as her mother was a piano teacher, accompanist and church organist. Growing up, Mrs. Bottini attended San Francisco Public Schools, summer sessions at the S.F. Conservatory of Music and later San Francisco State University, where she received  a Bachelors's Degree in Music. Her private violin teachers included the British violinist John M. Ray, and San Francisco Symphony members Frank Houser, David Schneider and Peter Shaffer. After 30 years of performing as a freelance violinist in Bay Area orchestras, the Toot Suite Trio, the Point Lobos Trio and teaching privately, Mrs. Bottini returned to SFSU to receive her teaching credential in Music Education, studying conducting with Professor Leroy Roach. Mrs. Bottini has come full circle, returning to conduct the orchestra that she formerly played in as a student at Presidio Middle School.
